Berts

When walking past Berts Homestore on Western Road in Brighton, I suddenly noticed the great juxtaposition of the vibrant red plastic baskets against the green paintwork of the shop and decided to paint it for my ongoing Brighton series in a slightly Hopperesque manner but kept the modern car in the background. A two-day painting apart from a bit of glazing on a third day 12" x 12" oil on board.
