Idalou

Idalou is way out in the boonies of the Texas Panhandle and in this picture I wanted to get across the isolation of the lonely farmhouse in the featureless landscape. I chose to set it against a big sky with a huge thunderstorm in the distance and is following on from the last painting where I have made the sky the dominant focus of the picture.
