High Over Madurai

At last I have finally started painting after a two month gap due to ill health. This was just something to get me back into the swing of things again and is very unlikely to sell due to the subject matter having such limited appeal but at least I am back painting again! This is a view from the rooftop restaurant of the Madurai Residency Hotel of Madurai in Tamil Nadu, South India. It had a large reddish neon sign that lit all the buildings nearest to the hotel with a nearby mosque lit by strong green lights so I based the painting around red and green. 12" x 12" oil on board.
