The Big Sky - first day

Here is a photo of my new painting "The Big Sky". This is one of the largest paintings I have done and measures a metre square. At this stage I have "banged in" some basic cloud shapes which I will develop in the next session. I intend the final sky to be in glowing yellows and oranges which will be achieved with glazes and scumbles once I am happy with the design of the sky.
